Jerrit currently leads the Personal Care Merchandising team. He is responsible for leading the Personal Care Merchant team and developing the strategy to accelerate WMT’s market leading progress in delivering assortment and value our customers need however they want to shop.

Jerrit started his career, working on campus during college, as the Student Manager of Purchasing for the College of the Ozarks. Between undergrad and graduate school, he joined Walgreens in the Store Management Program in Nixa, Missouri. He holds a Master’s in Business Administration with an emphasis in Logistics and Finance from Missouri State University. He joined Walmart in 2007, as a part of the Replenishment Leadership Program in the Bakery Department.

Jerrit has extensive experience in leading large cross-functional initiatives. These initiatives include rolling out Centralized Replenishment for the DSD businesses in Food, launching warehousing in Adult Beverages, regional pricing for Pharmacy, Merch Ops Replenishment Ways of Working structure, automated instock root cause waterfall for Associates & Suppliers, and leading the Consumables Team through the Pandemic by driving market share through instock & share insights with Suppliers. He recently Lead the Supplier Excellence team focused on being the suppliers’ preferred retail partner by delivering shared value through ease of doing business and lowering the cost to serve.

Jerrit lives in Bentonville with his wife, daughter and son. He enjoys spending time outdoors water skiing, surfing, snowboarding and spending time with his family. He serves on the Chrohn's & Colitis Leadership Board and is co-chair for the Jones Center 2024 Golf event.
